What is an Egyptian White Water-Lily? Nymphaea lotus, also known as the Egyptian White Water-Lily is an aquatic plant that can be found in slow moving bodies of water such as ponds, lakes and rivers. It has attractive white flowers with up to 24 petals that bloom during the evening and early morning. The leaves are large and round, measuring up to 60 cm in diameter.

This beautiful flower is characterized by its fragrant aroma and it can often be seen blooming alongside other aquatic plants such as water lilies and lotuses. The best time to see the Egyptian White Water-Lily in all its glory is during the early morning or evening hours when the flowers are open.
