A Birdflower, Crotalaria cunninghamii, is a small, flowering plant that is only found in Australia. These unique plants can be found in semi-arid areas, and are well adapted to the harsh climate.
Birdflowers are characterised by their vibrant orange flowers, which are often visited by bees and other pollinators. The flowers typically grow in clusters, and can be up to 10 centimetres in diameter.
The leaves of Birdflowers are also very distinctive, as they are usually elongated and pointed. This allows the plant to maximise its exposure to the sun and collect as much light as possible.
