One of the most accessible 4,000-meter summits in the Atlas Mountains of North Africa is Mount Toubkal in Morocco. It's located near glamorous Marrakech, which makes climbing it a convenient choice for anyone vacationing there. The mountain itself has two peaks: one is an imposing sheer wall called Jbel Toubkal, while the other is gentler with a plateau at its top. You can hike up either side.
