The Serengeti National Park is the most famous of the game reserves of Tanzania, Africa. The park has had a long history of famous explorers and is one of the oldest African national parks in existence today. Its an incredible sight to see hundreds upon hundreds of animals wandering around through grassy plains.
The Serengeti is a large region of land situated in Eastern Africa. It's home to over 400 species of mammals, 825 bird species and numerous other wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras and more!
It is famous for being the stage where millions of wildebeest migrate from July to October. If you have never been before, it's an incredible sight - as if an ocean of moving black and brown dashes across the plain, as far as your eye can see. If you are planning on visiting make sure to do it during this time period (July-October). Although you can visit at other times (like I did) this will limit what animals you might be able to spot.
