Located in the Ecuadorian Andes, Cayambe is a snow-capped volcano that is now open for hikers and climbers. The summit itself consists of two peaks: one to the North-East named Pico Cóndor (5,641 m / 18,510 ft) and another to the South-West called Yerovi (5,690 m / 18,577 ft). These peaks are located on the rim of a caldera (collapsed volcano) with a diameter of 8 km.
